Marissa DiGennaro (she/her) was born in Syracuse, New York, the snowiest city in the country! Her path to performing began early, inspired by her parents, who are professional musicians. In fact, her favorite childhood photo is of her conducting an imaginary orchestra in her family room. She started out by playing violin when she was eight years old, which is where she learned how to read music, as well as singing in her school’s chorus, where she began to develop her musicality.
Marissa graduated from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in April 2022, earning her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre with a minor in music. Her credits include: Dead Man's Cell Phone, It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, Reclaiming: A Cabaret, Pump Up the Volume: a New Rock Musical, and more. She recently moved to Brooklyn, New York, and has been loving it so far!
She loves learning new music and utilizing her musical background. She is passionate about music directing, arranging, and other music nerd festivities. Bonus points if she gets to sing tight harmonies!
Marissa is dedicated, kind, and loyal. She is known for her organization and meticulousness, but also for her fun-filled spirit and lighthearted disposition. When she is not singing and acting, you can find Marissa doing yoga, drawing and painting, spending time with friends, or trying (and failing) to cook. You can find her on Instagram @marissadigennaro!
